The Football Link, one of India’s premier Football strategy and implementation organizations organized the first edition of the Bragging Rights Cup on the 9th and 10th of July 2016 at the FZone Arena.

The venue for the occasion was the FZone Arena of Sporting Excellence, India’s first technology-based sports training arena in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi with world-class turf grounds, sun-proof shade nets, floodlights and the revolutionary F-Cube technology.

The Bragging Rights Cup was launched with an aim to provide children in localities and RWAs across Delhi a platform to showcase their footballing talent, participate in healthy competition, and to promote “Health and Active Living through Sports” amongst children.

The day-long tournament saw the participation of teams from across Delhi/NCR including children from Vasant Kunj, Rajouri Garden, Shalimar Bagh, GK-2, Pandara Road, Khan Market, Connaught Place, Kidwai Nagar and Gurgaon in the Under-19 and Under-16 age categories.

Teams from both the age groups fought hard to earn their bragging rights. Not a single match failed to provide an action packed game as the 6v6 format enthralled the spectators.

Only one team in each category could be crowned as the champions. And as the competition got right down to the wire, the Jawan Hawks from Magnolia Gurgaon claimed the under-19 category trophy.

In the under-16 category, Chatakbaaj, representing B-10, Vasant Kunj possessed the edge over the other teams in the final.
